Physical Therapy Services Provided
Balance and Fall Prevention Training

Did you know that 1 in 4 older adults reported falling? Falls are not a normal part of aging and can be prevented. We can assess your home, provide tips to make your home safer, identify why you are falling, and provide targeted treatment to help you become stronger and steadier. We can also provide equipment recommendations as needed.
Perhaps you want to return to an activity like hiking, or just feel steadier on your feet in your tennis game. We can help improve your balance so you can continue to do the activities you love and keep up an active, healthy lifestyle.

Dynamic AFO Return To Running And Sport program

I developed this program to help those who have exoskeleton types of AFOs such as the Exosym, Fabtech Reactiv, Hanger High Performance AFO, or similar, return to running and sports. I am a user of this type of device myself, as it has enabled me to return to running without pain, despite having end stage ankle arthritis. Using these types of AFOs alters your normal biomechanics, requiring specific education and exercises to get the most out of your device, and to resume an active lifestyle.
Geriatric physical therapy
This form of physical therapy is specifically geared toward older adults and their unique issues and challenges. Geriatric physical therapy takes into account that older adults tend to become less active over time, experience a decrease in muscle strength, coordination, and reaction timing, and have a lower tolerance for physical activity. We have many years of experience treating the geriatric population and can help improve overall activity level, prevent and reverse deconditioning, prevent muscle atrophy, decrease falls and related injuries and help you maintain your independence.

Neurological Rehabilitation

We provide treatment for all kinds of neurological disorders including stroke, brain injury, ataxia, Guillain Barre Syndome, Parkinsons, multiple sclerosis, polyneuropathy, spasiticty/tone, and other progressive neurological conditions. We can provide equipment recommendations to help you improve your independence and meet your goals.
Wellness/Personal Training Services
Many patients and clients have such a great experience during their rehab that they choose to continue after their recovery as wellness/personal training clients. This allows you to broaden your goals and work on other areas as you wish, and can include weight loss, general strengthening, or sports fitness.
